Notre Dame
Notre Dame's live-music life is anchored by its two university campuses and leans heavily toward classical, choral, jazz, and world music rather than club-style or rock programming. The DeBartolo Performing Arts Center (DPAC) is Notre Dame's primary presenter of performing arts programming, drawing over 100,000 patrons annually. Its music spaces include Leighton Concert Hall (roughly 840 seats), the 350-seat Patricia George Decio Theatre, the Philbin Studio Theatre black box, and the intimate 80-seat Reyes Organ and Choral Hall. Past music bookings have included jazz artists such as Christian McBride, Lakecia Benjamin, and Fred Hersch. The center regularly hosts student and faculty performers from Notre Dame's Department of Music and Sacred Music. Across campus at Saint Mary's College, the Moreau Center for the Arts serves as the college's auditorium and events center, housing its departments of Art, Music, Dance and Theatre, and Communication Studies. The South Bend Chamber Singers, a vocal ensemble, is in residence there.
