Carondelet
The Sinkhole is Carondelet's music venue and recording studio, sitting on South Broadway in a neighborhood that otherwise keeps its live-music footprint modest. A gritty, cash-only space, it hosts punk, rock, and metal shows almost every night. It is widely regarded as the premier DIY venue in St. Louis. Capacity tops out around 75 people, keeping shows close and loud. Artists on the calendar have included Minibeast, Modern Color, and CORPSE DUST, with past appearances by Buffalo Nichols and Gravehuffer. Beyond the Sinkhole, the neighborhood runs a longstanding summer concert series hosting local musicians at area parks, with a different style of music featured each week.
