McKinley Heights sits on St. Louis's near South Side, an officially designated historic neighborhood between Lafayette Square, Soulard, Benton Park, and Fox Park. Its live-music footprint is small, with one dedicated venue anchoring the neighborhood's Jefferson Avenue edge. Keypers Piano Bar, at 2280 S. Jefferson Ave., is a neighborhood piano bar described as an easygoing gathering place with nightly piano performances, sing-alongs, and bar snacks. Piano performances are scheduled on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Beyond Keypers, the annual McKinley Nights event brings live music and barbecue to McKinley Meadows each spring, and a summer concert series at nearby Lafayette Park runs from June through September.
