Jennifer Lyn & The Groove Revival · Electric Eden
Billboard-charting blues rock band with high-impact concert experience
A neighborhood in Minneapolis
Nokomis is a quiet, residential corner of south Minneapolis, and its live-music footprint matches that character: two venues on Chicago Avenue, each with a distinct feel. The Parkway Theater, originally built in 1931 and reimagined in 2018, is the neighborhood's main live-music anchor. It programs live music and comedy alongside classic movies on 35mm. The Parkway books a wide range of genres, recent and upcoming acts include blues-rock, bluegrass, Americana, and tribute acts, and classic film screenings often feature pre-movie live music from Twin Cities bands. A few doors down, the Creekside Supper Club & Lounge is an updated take on the classic Midwestern supper club, located on the corner of 48th and Chicago Ave. Its lounge stage hosts regular live-music nights, with reservations recommended. The format is dinner-and-drinks first, with music woven in rather than headlined. Together the two spots give Nokomis a low-key, neighborhood-scaled music scene, more supper-club singer and intimate theater than late-night club.
