Seward is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Minneapolis and carries a strong community-arts identity, with backyard concert series and a deep arts presence woven into everyday life. The neighborhood's dedicated live-music venue is the Eagles #34 Buechner Room, the smallest of several performance spaces inside the Fraternal Order of Eagles lodge at 2507 E. 25th St. The Buechner Room holds 49 people, making it one of the more intimate spots in the city. Eagles #34 has several rooms offering live music in an intimate setting with many different music genres represented, with a relatively small cover charge. Reviewers note that most people come because they are veterans, want to play bingo, or are music fans there for the punk rock shows that happen pretty much every weekend. The Eagles is open to the general public and books live music almost daily.
