Milo-Grogan
Milo-Grogan is a primarily residential neighborhood northeast of downtown Columbus, with an industrial past and a small but arts-forward identity anchored by Milo Arts, a community arts center that has hosted creative events in the visual and performing arts since 1988. The Milo complex includes a recording studio, and the adjoining gymnasium was used for concerts, events, and classes. The neighborhood's dedicated live-music spot is Ohio Brewing Company. The brewery opened its Columbus location in a 37,000-square-foot former warehouse at 421 E. Second Ave. in Milo-Grogan. Ohio Brewing Columbus produces a wide array of styles including Mexican Lager, Pilsner, IPA, DIPA, Fruit Sour, and a Nitro Irish Stout. The brewery runs live music on its outdoor stage, with acts like MojoFlo performing there in the evenings. An events space offers both indoor and outdoor areas, making it the neighborhood's main gathering point for live performances. The live-music calendar is modest, but the large brewery footprint gives it room to grow.
