Sean of the South: The Where's Home Tour 2026
Humorist and multi-instrumentalist stand-up storyteller
Belmont-Hillsboro sits between Vanderbilt and Belmont universities, and that academic anchor defines its live-music character. You are more likely to encounter classical music enthusiasts here than country music fans. The neighborhood's three main music venues are all tied to Belmont University's campus. The Fisher Center for the Performing Arts was dedicated in September 2021 and is fashioned after traditional performance venues with classical design. Located at 2020 Belmont Blvd., it hosts School of Music guest performances, Musical Theatre, and Theatre and Dance productions, and also presents the Nashville Opera, Nashville Ballet, and Nashville Symphony. Massey Concert Hall is a 1,000-seat auditorium with live audio production capabilities, serving both commercial and classical genres and hosting events and recitals with top named artists and musicians. Country artists such as Vince Gill and Crystal Gayle, rock acts, and CCM artists have all performed on the Massey stage. It sits on the top level of the Massey Performing Arts Center and serves as the primary location for student and faculty commercial music ensemble performances. Bongo After Hours Theatre, located above Bongo Java cafe, has been known as "Nashville's Most Intimate Venue" for nearly 15 years, dedicated to quality theatre, musical events, and classes and workshops in an intimate setting that features local professional talent and guest artists.
