Hamel
Hamel is a small Hennepin County community about 30 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, and it carries the tag "Rodeo Capital of Minnesota." Live music here centers on a single stop: Inn Kahoots. Established in 1984, Inn Kahoots is a local bar in what regulars call "historical uptown Hamel." It draws crowds looking for live music, particularly cover bands, and is also a go-to spot for line dancing. Bands perform on weekends, and karaoke nights and pool tables round out the entertainment mix. The bar also has outdoor seating. It does a strong trade after the annual Hamel Rodeo, making it the natural end-of-night spot for that crowd each summer.
